BEAR CREEK PARK

Bear Creek Park offers a variety of activities for a full day's adventure. The park includes sports fields, a running track, picnic areas and shelters, a swimming pool and a water playground for family outings. Enjoy a stroll along walking trails through the meadows and forest. Watch for salmon in the river or Great Blue Herons standing in the shallows. In Spring, Bear Creek Gardens is splashed with colour by native rhododendrons. In summer, perennials and annuals weave an attractive mosaic. In the Fall, the deciduous trees show gold against the cedars.

Come see Canada's first outdoor climbing wall, just one of the adventures to discover at the new Bear Creek Youth Park. The 8 foot wall's footholds, hand grips, angles and gaps offer different routes for different levels of climbers who are looking for a thrilling sense accomplishment. There is also a skateboard court, a sports box for basketball and ball hockey, and an in-line skating pathway all tuned to music through an innovative outdoor music system.
